1. What is IELTS?
The full form of IELTS is International English Language Testing System. It is an internationnally accredited exam that is taken to assess one's English proficiency. The proficiency is scored in band 1 to 9 and most institutions have the minimum requirement of band 6/6.5.
2. When can I take the IELTS exam?
You can take the IELTS test throughout the year.
3. IWhat is the exam fee for IELTS exam?
The fee to take IELTS exam is BDT 20,750 in 2023. But the fee changes time to time, so it is best to check the fee from British Council or IDP's website.
4. How long does IELTS score stay valid?
Once you take the IELTS test, the score stays valid for 2 years.
5. Do I have to speak in British or American accent in IELTS speaking test?
There are four marking criteria in IELTS speaking test - Fluency & Coherence, Lexical Resource, Grammatical range and Accuracy. Since the marking criteria does not include accents, you don't have to speak in a certain accent to score higher in the speaking test.
6. Which accents can I expect in the IELTS Listening Test?
Mostly, British, American, Irish, Australian etc. accents are used in IELTS Listening Test.
7. Can I give mock tests in 10 Minute School?
Yes, you can give Reading and Listening mock tests in 10 Minute School.
