Voice Change
ক্রিয়ার প্রকাশভঙ্গিকে Voice বলে। Verb-এর গঠন যার দ্বারা subject নিজে কিছু করে বা তাকে দিয়ে কাজ করানাে হয় তাকে Voice বলে। Voice Change-এর মাধ্যমে বোঝা যায় যে কোন বাক্যের subject কাজটি করেছে করেছে,করবে নাকি কাজটি subject দ্বারা করা হয়েছে,হচ্ছে, হবে।
Types of Voices
দুই প্রকারের Voice আছে। এগুলো হলো-
- Active Voice
- Passive Voice
Active Voice:
যে sentence-এ subject নিজে সক্রিয়ভাবে বা active ভাবে কাজটি করে সেই sentence-এ verb-এর active voice হয়।
Passive Voice:
যে sentence-এ subject নিজে সক্রিয়ভাবে বা active ভাবে কাজটি করে না কিন্তু object-এর কাজটি তার দ্বারা করা হয়, ওই sentence-এ verb-এর passive voice হয়।

Voice Change: Present Tense
- Present Indefinite Tense-এর ক্ষেত্রে active to passive Voice Change এর rule- am/is/are + verb past participle
Active: He writes a novel.
Passive: A novel is written by him
- Present Continuous Tense-এর ক্ষেত্রে active to passive Voice Change -এর rule-
am being/is being/are being+ verb past participle
Active: My mother is carrying a bag
Passive: A bag is being carried by my mother

Voice Change: Past Tense
- Past Indefinite Tense-এর ক্ষেত্রে active to passive Voice Change -এর rule-
- was/were + verb past participle
Active: He gave me a book
Passive: A book was given to me by him
- Past Continuous Tense-এর ক্ষেত্রে active to passive Voice Change এর rule-
was being/were being + verb past participle
Active: He was doing his homework
Passive: His homework was being done by him
- Past Perfect Tense-এর ক্ষেত্রে active to passive Voice Change এর rule-
had been + verb past participle
Active: I had written a letter
Passive: A letter had been written by me
Voice Change: Future Tense
- Future Indefinite Tense-এর ক্ষেত্রে active to passive এর rule-
Shall be/ will be + verb past participle
Active: I will visit my friend’s house.
Passive: My friend’s house will be visited by me.
- Future Continuous Tense-এর ক্ষেত্রে active to passive এর rule-
Shall be being/ will be being+ verb past participle
Active: I will be doing my assignment.
Passive: My assignment will be being done by me.
- Future Perfect Tense-এর ক্ষেত্রে active to passive Voice Change এর rule-
Shall have been/ will have been+ verb past participle
Active: He will have done his math.
Passive: His math will have been done by him.
- Going to যেই বাক্যে থাকবে সেই active voice এর passive form হবে-
Structure: am/is/are going to be+ verb p.p
Active: He is going to draw a picture.
Passive: A picture is going to be drawn by him.
- Active voice এর যদি double object থাকে, তাহলে যেকোনো একটি object-কে subject হিসেবে গ্রহণ করে passive-এ পরিণত করা যায়।
Active: He gave me a book.
Passive: A book was given to me by him.
- Imperative sentence-এর active voice-কে passive-এ পরিণত করার নিয়ম-
Active: Tell her to wait here.
Passive: Let her be told to wait here.
- Let যুক্ত Imperative sentence-এর active voice-কে passive-এ পরিণত করার নিয়ম-
Active: Let her do it.
Passive: Let it be done by her.
- Please/ kindly যুক্ত Imperative sentence-এর active voice-কে passive-এ পরিণত করার নিয়ম-
Active: Please do the laundry.
Passive: You are requested to do the laundry.
